Four types of transponder systems are available, similar to SunPass or EZ Pass:
This is SafeHouse Systems claim to fame. Our Gate Control Module is compatible with all of the above Access Control Systems. The Gate Control Module is designed to control devices entering and leaving secured areas. Activity of each device is displayed as it is read in your security office or gatehouse.
- Transcore® Encompass™ 2 Reader: This system is from the manufacturer of the SunPass and EZ Pass systems. - Sirit IDentity Flex System (most popular): This system has two types of tags available, based on your preference. The first tag option is affixed to the window with Velcro. The second tag option is affixed with double-sided tape, and the tag deactivates when removed from the window. This is a great security feature to eliminate subsequent distribution to unauthorized users. Both of these Sirit tags are battery operated and have a read range of approximately 30', based upon the installation and surrounding areas. - Sirit IDentityMax Pass System: This system is a card-type transponder with a read range of 10'. Its unique advantage is that it is an all-in-one reader similar to the Transcore® Encompass 2™, but the cost is considerably less than the other two systems. - Sirit IDentity Zip System: This system is a sticker similar to the Transcore® system, with a lower cost. However, the read range is shorter than all of the other systems. In addition, a Barcode Reader system is available:
- BAI® Barcode Reader System: This is a laser barcode reader system, priced lower than all of the above systems, but with a shorter range. It provides reliable automatic vehicle identification up to 6' from the reader, and will signal the gate to open only for authorized decals. It can be a stand alone system, and may be suitable for unattended gate entrances or entrances not attended round the clock.[barcode-automation.pdf]
